Dora Mae Prouse

Dora Mae Prouse, 80, of Terre Haute passed away at 9:03 a.m. Monday September 19, 2016 in Union Hospital. She had been employed with The Large Playhouse Daycare at Terre Haute for many years. She was born March 9, 1936 in Lawrenceville, IL to Henry Anson Coleman and Helen Stivers Coleman. Her Husband, William F. Prouse Sr. whom she married on December 12, 1953 at Terre Haute preceded her in death on June 22, 2009. Survivors include seven children William F. Prouse Jr. and his wife Connie of West Terre Haute, Timothy Prouse and his wife Sharon, Paul Prouse and his wife Roberta all of Terre Haute, Mary Lindsey and her companion Don Gardner of West Terre Haute, Bennie Prouse, Dawn Gill, and Ron Prouse all of Terre Haute; four brothers Paul Coleman and his wife Sandra, Bill Coleman, Mike Coleman, and Steve Coleman and his wife Julie; two sisters Debbie McKelvy and Cathy Coleman; sixteen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a daughter Kimberly Thomas; a son Donald Prouse; five brothers John, David, Jerry, Danny, and Terry Coleman; and a sister Lynn Coleman. Dora enjoyed volunteering her time at many charitable organizations. She loved rocking babies at the daycare and she enjoyed playing bingo. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday in Fitzpatrick Funeral Home with Dr. Tom Savage officiating. Burial will be in Bethesda Memorial Park.
