Donald Lee Vermillion

Donald Lee Vermillion, 76, of Terre Haute, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2018 in Terre Haute Regional Hospital.

He was born October 31, 1941 in Terre Haute to Coen Vermillion and Juanita Holbert Vermillion.

Don was a route salesman for Aramark, retiring after thirty years of service and also farmed. He was a member of the Sanford Fire Department for more than 50 years; an IVFA and IVFAA member; a member of the Lion’s Club and sat on the Fayette Advisory Board.

Don was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Jeffrey Vermillion; and his brother, Marion Vermillion.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah S. Vermillion; his children, Lorri Schuster and her husband, Keith; Brian Vermillion and his wife, Beth; Ellen Wilbur and her husband, Travis; and Jeffery Taylor and his wife, Amanda; his grandchildren, Danielle Nichols and her husband, Matt, Nathan Schuster, Brianna Schuster, Dakota Vermillion, Austin Vermillion, Isaac Vermillion, Myka Walls, Mercedes McCall, Payton McCall, Terran Chrisman, Victoria Chrisman and Natalie Tabor; great grandchildren, Benjamin Nichols and Aubrey Walls; his sister, Carolyn Sue Biggs and her husband, Larry;  his mother-in-law, Ellen J. Leigh, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd Street, West Terre Haute, Indiana, with visitation from 10:00 until service time at the funeral home. Pastor Daniel Bryan will be officiating; burial will follow in New Vermillion Cemetery. Pall Bearers will be Dakota Vermillion, Austin Vermillion, Nathan Schuster, Terran Chrisman, Isaac Vermillion and Matt Nichols.
