Diane Marie Stephens

Diane Marie Stephens, 75 of Terre Haute, passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2025 in Union Hospital. She was born in Terre Haute on January 15, 1950 to Jack William Eblen and Odetta LeClerq Eblen.

Diane worked as a nurse at Regional Hospital.

Diane is survived by her son Jack Sappingfield, and two stepdaughters, Paige Barton (Darren), and Noel Fields, as well as her grandchildren; Briana Ziebart (Brandon), Jeremiah Kirk, Kendal Barton, Kortney Huffman (Jack), Kaitlyn Skelton (Ryan), Taylor Sappingfield, Jack Sappingfield, David Fields (Brittany), and Emaline Sappingfield, and several great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Nick Eblen (Susan) and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dale F. Stephens, and son Christopher R. Stephens.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN on Monday, December 15, 2025 at 1:00 PM with Elders Scott Sutton and Bob Miller officiating. Friends and family can reminisce and share stories about Diane on Monday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Terre Haute Humane Society, in her memory.
