David D. Morris

David D. Morris, 67 of Clinton, IN, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2024 in Union Hospital.  He was born in Rantoul, IL on September 6, 1956 to W.L. Tony Morris and Bertha Jane Conner Morris.

Dave was a retired truck driver with Teamsters Local # 135 and enjoyed farming for Puller Farms.  He also was the former owner of the New Goshen Pub for 16 years, and was a volunteer fireman for the New Goshen Fire Department for many years.

Dave is survived by his longtime partner, Lisa Martin, as well as his two sons, Shane Morris (Chelsie) and Dustin Morris.  He is also survived by his sister Tonya Morris Williams (Randy), and step-children; John Martin (Amber), Jeff Martin (Ashley), and Jenny Peters (Kevin), as well as his niece, Jessica Griffin (Scott), a great nephew, Parker Jordan (Ellie), and grandchildren; Laikyn, Aubree, Piper, Lane, Kinlee, Liam, and Nora.  He was preceded in death by his father Tony in 2008 and his mother Bertha in 1981.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has been chosen, with a Celebration of Life service to be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, in his memory.   Arrangements are under the direction of Fitzpatrick Funeral Home.
