David Alan DisPennett

David Alan “Shuey” DisPennett, 57 of West Terre Haute, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 in his residence, surrounded by his family.  He was born in Terre Haute on July 2, 1966

David worked most of his life as a skilled carpenter, and was a member of the West Terre Haute Young Men’s Club.  He enjoyed playing pool with his friends and working on vehicles, and was always volunteering his time for any type of construction project, but most importantly, he loved his grandkids.

David is survived by his wife Lori DisPennett and three children; David DisPennett, Jr., Dennis DisPennett (Molly), and Amber Vester (Mark), as well as his grandchildren; Lilly Vester, Bayli Vester, Emilie Vester, Hailey DisPennett, and Kinsley Vester.  He is also survived by three brothers; Danny DisPennett, Phillip Shuey, and Walter Stevens, his best friend, Keith Matlock, and Gary Couch, who served as a father figure to him.  He was preceded in death by his mother Janice Shuey.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at the West Terre Haute Young Men’s Club on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 4:00 PM.   In keeping with his wishes, cremation has been chosen.  Arrangements are under the direction of Fitzpatrick Funeral Home.
