David Campbell, Jr.

David Campbell, Jr., 94 of New Goshen, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 in Harrison’s Crossing Health Campus.  He was born in Fontanet, IN on October 22,1929 to David Campbell, Sr. and Ruth Margaret Robinson Campbell.

David was an Army veteran and served in the Korean War and retired from the Groundskeeping Department at I.S.U.  He was a life-long fan of the Chicago Cubs and enjoyed coaching Babe Ruth baseball.

David is survived by his daughter Lisa Marrs (Dave), and three grandsons; Adam Marrs, Tyler Marrs, and Kyle Marrs, as well as several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by two sisters, Lucille Odar ( and husband Frank) and Imogene Britton ( and husband Phil).

Private graveside services will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park on Friday, March 1, 2024, with military honors provided by the Vigo County Honor Guard.  Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park.  Arrangements are under the direction of Fitzpatrick Funeral Home.  The family would like to thank Southern Care Hospice for the exceptional care given to David during his illness.
