David Bruce Britt

David "Bruce" Britt, 73, of West Terre Haute passed away Thursday morning August 10, 2017 in his home after a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his wife only days earlier on August 2, 2017. He retired as a heavy equipment operator from the Newport Army Ammunition Plant at Newport, IN. He was born November 8, 1943 at Farmersburg, IN. Survivors include: a daughter Shantell Ketner and her companion Steve Flowers of West Terre Haute; a son and daughter-in-law Warren and Angie Britt of Marshall, IL; five grandchildren: Matthew, Dustin, Amber, and Cassie Ketner and Morgan Britt; eight great grandchildren Lailynn, Kiera, Alahna, Jaxsyn, Charlie, Emberlee, Arya, and baby boy Carson. He was also preceded in death by a son William Shannon Britt; and his parents Louis F. Britt and Eva Mae Akers Britt. According to his wishes, cremation has been scheduled with no services. Burial of his ashes will be at a later date. Fitzpatrick Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.
