Cynthia Mae Bignell

Cynthia Mae Bignell, 64, passed away September 20, 2026, in Majestic Care of Demming Park. She was born May 26, 1962, in Terre Haute, Indiana to Omar Leroy Akers, and Phyllis Deakins. Cynthia was a member of the Maryland Community Church. She considered herself a social butterfly, never meeting a stranger. She loved to travel, especially to the beach with her family. She was a loving and caring person and was always willing to help those in need. She loved to listen to country music and loved her grandchildren more than life itself.

She is preceded in death by her father, brothers, Ronnie Akers, and Rick Akers. She is survived by her mother, spouse of over 41 years, Carey Bignell, daughters, Kassidi Dickerson (Keifer), Kimmi Bignell, sons, Zachary Bignell (Megan), Shawn Bignell, brother, Terry Akers, and grandchildren, Gabe Bignell, Gavin Bignell, Shelby Bignell, Cambry Bignell, Caden Bignell, Carter Seeley, Whitnie Seeley, and Odin Dickerson, along with several aunts and uncles

Services for Cynthia will be Friday, September 25, 2026, at 1 pm in Fitzpatrick Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12 pm until service time on Friday. Burial will be in Highland Lawn Cemetery.
