Berdina M. (Fortune) Prouse

Berdina M. Prouse, 80 of West Terre Haute, passed away at 9:51 a.m. on Monday, December 24, 2018 in Union Hospital.  She was born in West Terre Haute on March 6, 1938 to Wilbur Fortune and Dorothy Decker Fortune.

She was a home maker. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, gardening, and watching western movies.

She is survived by her son, David A. Prouse, of West Terre Haute; sister, Alice Baiter; sister in law Betty Jenkins; nieces and nephews; Tammy Switzer, Bill Baiter, Jennifer Vanlandingham, Mark Tabor, Jeff Prouse, and many great and great great nieces and nephews; and special friends of the family, Rosie and Butch Harris.

Berdina was preceded in death by her husband Robert R. Prouse, a sister, Sondra Vanlandingham, as well as a niece, Diane Baiter Brown.

Services will be held on Saturday December 29, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 N. 3rd Street, West Terre Haute, Indiana. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor bob Roush officiating. Burial will follow in Bethesda Memorial Park, West Terre Haute, Indiana.
