Anthony Lee "Tony" Savant

Anthony Lee “Tony” Savant, 79 of Terre Haute, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 31, 2023 in Union Hospital.  He was born in West Terre Haute on August 3, 1943 to Anthony Joseph Savant and Hazel Irene Black Savant.

Tony was a veteran of the United States Navy and retired from J I Case, and was the owner/operator of St. Mary’s Supper Club for well over a decade.

Tony is survived by his wife Loretta Jean Edington Savant, whom he married March 17, 1967, and five children; Tony Lee Savant (Angie), Lisa Marrs (Dave), John Hayes (Cheryl), Randy Hayes, and Donna Smith, as well as his grandchildren; Lindsay Beasley (J.R.), Tony Savant (Amara), Scott Savant (Meghan), Nick Savant, Adam Marrs, Kyle Marrs, Tyler Marrs, Andy Hayes, Brian Hayes (Sarah), Jack Hayes (Ashley), Shannon Hayes (Ashli), T.J. Hayes, and Matt Phillips, as well as eleven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.  Also surviving are his siblings Norman Savant (Susan), LaDonna Ellsworth (Leo), and Arletha Lawson, special nephew, Bob McCullough, as well as his friends at Denny’s.  He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Jean Boyll and Thelma Montgomery, grandson Cody Hayes, brother-in-law Robert Lawson, daughter-in-law Debbie Hayes, and son-in-law J.T. Smith.

Funeral services will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St, West Terre Haute, IN on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 1:00 PM.  Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery.  Visitation is scheduled for Saturday from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM in the funeral home.
