Amelia Lynn Herman

August 1, 1976 — October 23, 2023

Terre Haute

Amelia Lynn Herman, age 47, went to be with our Lord and Savior while surrounded by family on October 23, 2023. She was born August 1, 1976 in Terre Haute to Diana L Day and Gary L Herman Sr.

Amelia was a devoted Daughter, Mother, Gammie, Sister, and Aunt who dedicated her life to caring for others. During her younger years, she worked tirelessly as a certified nursing assistant, providing comfort and assistance to those in need. Amelia’s nurturing spirit illuminated through her work as a childcare provider, where she looked after children as if they were her own. Her attentiveness and kindness will be remembered by all those who worked beside her during her 10-year career as a housekeeper at Drury Inn. Most of all, Amelia will be remembered for her endless love and support for her family. She always put others' needs before her own and enjoyed spending time with her mother, children, granddaughter, siblings, and other close friends and family. Some of Amelia’s favorite memories were visiting the beach with her family and spending time with her granddaughter.  Amelia's compassion touched the lives of many, and she will be deeply missed. Though her caring hands and generous heart are no longer with us, her memory will live on through those who loved her.

Amelia was preceded in death by her grandparents Roy E Day, Barbara R Day (Wade), cousin Ted W. Putman Jr., and her great nephew Brady W. Fulk Jr. all of Terre Haute.
